Sonoma County: 2024 Baseball Development Program

Being a quality and consistent player takes being consistent on the field during practice. Players who strive for this consistency need a regular schedule of fundamentally sound practice. Our Player Development Program is designed for those committed to being the best they can be. Players enrolled in our BDP will have a structured plan from the day they start. They will follow a program that will give them the consistent work needed to grow and excel in all facets of the game of baseball, from hitting, pitching, catching, and fielding to speed, quickness, and agility.

Pitching: Players will learn fundamentally sound pitching mechanics to help them throw more accurately with reduced stress on their arms. They will also learn the importance of Arm Care and how to keep their arm in good shape during the season.

Hitting: Reps, reps, reps. The more practice swings a player gets while focusing on sound mechanics, the better. A confident hitter is by far a more productive hitter. This program will work on swing mechanics, pitch recognition, situational hitting, and more! This routine will also help your player develop a more repeatable swing while learning what their swing feels like when it is right and when they are doing something wrong.

Fielding: Individualized defense. Each position is different, and they will learn all positions. Whether it be an outfielder’s footwork, fielding a ground ball, or receiving a short hop at first base, they will get it all! Over the course of this program, your player will learn and get the reps it takes to be great at multiple positions.

Being a part of this program, your player’s weekly sessions will help them eliminate slumps or at least make them shorter. Your player will learn how to handle the situations that come up every season. We will discuss what’s happening on the field, both good and bad. Being mentally tough is so important in this game. With the guidance your player will get in this program, they will develop skills that will not only make them a tougher player but will also give them better baseball IQ. Each player will have the opportunity to learn every position, making them a well-rounded player that will certainly elevate their Little League play.
