San Jose: 2025 Spring High School Prep Team – 13U
The Legends High School Preparation program is designed for travel ball 13U players and 7th graders who are ready to take their game to the next level. This program focuses on teaching everything necessary to thrive at the High School level, providing individualized skill instruction and holistic development to foster positive habits both on and off the field.
Players will receive personalized coaching and development in:
- Essential Skills for High School Baseball: Hitting, fielding, pitching, and catching techniques.
- Game Theory and Strategy Elements: Situational baserunning, bunting, 1st and 3rd plays, pick plays, bunt defenses, and so much more.
- Physical Preparation: Strength, mobility, speed, agility, recovery, and injury prevention.
- Mental and Leadership Growth: Focus, resilience, game IQ, goal setting, and composure in high-pressure situations.
This program ensures athletes are not only prepared for the demands of high school baseball but are also equipped with the life skills to succeed beyond the field.
Special Leadership
The 2025 Spring Legends HSP team will be overseen by David “Captain Fun” Klein, the nationally recognized holistic coach and founder of Legends Baseball. David, known for his innovative approach to youth development, will be present at many practices to guide players and oversee the developmental curriculum, ensuring each athlete receives the best possible training experience.

All players will receive:
- new Legends hat
- practice shirt
- team jersey
- Jaeger bands to aid in arm care and strength-building.

Program Details
- Who: Travel Ball 13U players and 7th graders.
- Dates: Mid-February to Mid-May, 2025.
- Practices: 20 sessions held both indoors (batting cages) and outdoors (local Peninsula fields).
- Games: A minimum of 15 games, with Sunday doubleheaders across the Peninsula.
- Tournament: One local tournament at Twin Creeks on April 12/13, 2025.
- Additional Tournaments: Optional, based on group interest, for $150/player (paid later).
Training Schedule
Practices:
- Held 2-3 times per week.
- Alternating between batting cage sessions and on-field practices.
Weekend Games:
- Duration: Doubleheaders most Sundays.
- Locations: Local High School-level fields.
- Key Dates:
- First Practice: February 9, 2025.
- First Games: Weekend of March 9, 2025.
- Twin Creeks Tournament: April 12/13, 2025.
- Final Games: Weekend of May 17/18, 2025.
League Setup
- Game Weekends: 7 weekends of doubleheaders (Mid March to Mid May).
- Fields: Local Peninsula High School-level fields no further than 30 minutes from San Jose
- Matchups: Teams rotate weekly to ensure varied competition.
- Refund Requests: You have 30 days to request a cash refund after registration, except within 14 days of a program's start.
- Cancellations: No refunds, credits, or transfers will be allowed within 14 days of a program's start.
- Fee: Refunds have a 5% processing fee; fee waived if you choose to receive future program credit.
- Program Cancellation: If a program is canceled due to weather or group health issues, you will receive full credit for unused days, usable for future programs.
