Legends Spring 2025 High School Prep Q&A

  • What level of experience is required to join the High School Prep Program?

Our HSP program is designed for committed athletes ages 12 to 14 who have foundational baseball skills. While we welcome a range of abilities, our coaches tailor their approach to help each athlete develop and reach their potential.

  • What will my child gain from participating in this program?

Players in the HSP program will develop technical skills, physical conditioning, and mental toughness. Beyond baseball skills, our curriculum includes life lessons on goal setting, leadership, and accountability, preparing athletes for success on and off the field.

  • How many practices and games can we expect?

The program includes 2-3 training sessions per week, with both on-field and indoor training. Games run from early March to mid-May, primarily as weekend doubleheaders against competitive club teams.

  • Who are the coaches? What is their background?

Our coaching staff includes former professional players and current collegiate coaches who bring invaluable experience to help young athletes thrive. They have a proven track record of guiding players to success at high levels.

  • How does the program balance physical training and injury prevention?

Injury prevention is integrated into all our training. We focus on strength, mobility, agility, and recovery, ensuring that players grow athletically while minimizing the risk of injury.

  • Will my child receive individualized coaching?

Absolutely! With a low player-to-coach ratio, we provide tailored feedback and personalized growth plans based on each player’s strengths and areas for development.

  • How does the program prepare players mentally for high school competition?

Our curriculum emphasizes mental toughness and game IQ, teaching players to handle high-pressure situations and make strategic decisions. We also focus on leadership and mindset, helping players develop the confidence and resilience needed for high school sports.

  • Are tryouts required? How do they work?

Yes, tryouts help us assess each player’s abilities, focus, work ethic, and growth potential. During tryouts, players will participate in drills that evaluate their skills and athleticism. Tryout schedule:
