Legends Build Momentum Heading into BACL Playoffs

The Legends split those contests, but had one of their best weeks both offensively and from a pitching standpoint. Legends player of the week Alec Ackerman set the pace for Menlo Park, going 10-19 at the plate with three doubles, a home run, and six runs driven in, while Tony Masetti chipped in five doubles and a team high seven RBI on the week. With this week's successes, the Legends run their record to 11-21 for the Summer. This week’s standout performer was Will Linberg, who went 6-20 at the plate with four extra base hits and eight runs batted in. Written by Ryan Barnett ATHERTON, CALIF. -- It was a marathon stretch for the Legends, who after playing a doubleheader last Sunday, took to the diamond for five games in seven days, including three on the road in Humboldt. The Legends offense stood out this week with a trio of players tallying at least five hits, however, it wasn’t enough to muster up a win, as the Legends fell to 9-17 and have now dropped eight in a row. Legends Bash Their Way to Three Victories
Written by Ryan Barnett Happy Fourth of July, Legends Fans. Your Legends definitely had the offensive fireworks going off this week, splitting six contests over the span of this week. With the split, Menlo Park moves to 9-12 on the season. The Legends kicked off the week with an offensive explosion, downing the NorCal Warriors 15-6. The Legends fell behind 2-0 in the first, but were able to take their first lead in the second at 3-2 and would never look back.
