Legends Becomes First Dedicated Youth Baseball & Softball Camps Franchise System In America

Menlo Park, CA: April 6, 2022 – Bay Area based, Legends Baseball and Softball Camps was approved by the state of California to sell franchises, making them the only registered, dedicated baseball and softball camp franchise system in the country. The Legends are currently offering programming at 7 company owned Bay Area communities: Marin, Danville, San Mateo, Menlo Park, Los Altos, San Jose and Saratoga. The first franchised location targets are in Los Angeles and San Diego for the Fall of 2022, with nationwide expansion planned for 2023.

Launched in 2009, Legends has served thousands of aspiring amateur ball players with year round camp programs, summer collegiate teams and philanthropic endeavors. Over 50 players have moved on to professional careers with 3 Legends alumni in Major League Baseball and 2 alumni competing in the 2021 Summer Olympics. Legends Founder, David Klein was awarded the Positive Coaching Alliance’s prestigious National Double-Goal Coach Award in 2018 for his efforts teaching life lessons to children.

When Covid began, Legends launched a new series of Covid compliant programs. One of these programs, SpeedBall™ offers a modern approach to baseball and softball with 3 teams of 5, no sitting the bench and fast paced, non stop action. The Legends have since trademarked SpeedBall™ and the model has been adopted by numerous recreational leagues nationwide, with Bay Area SpeedBall™ leagues taking place in the Peninsula, Marin and the South Bay in the Fall of 2022.
